Oldest OM-1, non-MD tend to need a lot more work due to cracked battery box, separated eyepiece glass, broken meter frame. Sometimes BER $149 & up. In general, I suggest avoiding these non-md bodies.

There is extra labor charge if you supply donor body which requires removal of good pentaprism.

Extra charge for pentaprism replacement in M-1, OM-1 through 2N. Determined during estimate. Prism not sold separate from a repair (and sometimes not available). Prism replacement is optional.

Most repairs are done at these prices. Actual price (which may be higher) determined after hand inspection and partial dis-assembly of your camera equipment. You will be notified if there are additional costs. Parts and shipping extra.

(4) XAs that are jammed in self timer mode or give very long exposures usually have cracked circuits or IC defect. This is a fatal defect, no parts available (requires circuit replacement).

(5) Sometimes limited warranty on this model. I will do my best to repair based on existing parts. Some parts extra $. Warranty limited to areas worked on. Especially applies to repairs that originally were impact, tampering, water or sand damage. New battery caps (ZC4812) no longer available.

Prices shown are for overhauls. Partial repairs are not done, they are a bad investment for the customer. All prices based on inspection and your price may be higher due to excessive wear, impact, water, sand, or tampering. 3 month repair warranty is standard. Limited warranty on some models due to limited parts availability. As marked, very old models carry repair warranty limited to area of repair only. In most cases, no major parts available for these very old models. No warranty on main circuits for OM-2, 2N, 2S, 3, 3Ti, 4, 4T, 4Ti, XA Series, OM-10, G, 20, F, 30, PC, 40. We accept PayPal, Check, Money order.

(8) If you are thinking of buying an OM body, I suggest sidestepping the OM-10. It was / is an entry level model, low priced and Olympus cut corners on design and build quality. Plastic top, PLASTIC shutter curtain shafts! Also, it is plagued with "Oily magnet syndrome" which can be a never ending problem. This causes gross over-exosure on the first frame after the camera has set unused for a few minutes/days/weeks. Used OM-10 bodies are low priced for a reason. OM-10 over serial number 2,000,000 have a different shutter design and are sometimes "better". Models okay to buy (imo): featuring high end state of the art at the time: all-metal OM-1, 1N, 2, 2N, 2S, 3, 3Ti, 4, 4T, 4Ti. Single digit OM bodies (OM-1 through 4Ti) were designed and approved by Maitani. Double digit body numbers with hollowed out lettering (look at OM-10 marking on top cover) were low end, without Maitani's involvement or approval.

No parts available, warranty limted! NO Meter parts available for restoration of the Pen FT. Pen FT meter accuracy will be "AS-IS" or simply not working. Pen F, FV or FT which may have "spinning sprockets" that turn freely and will not wind film, are beyond repair. Inside of sprocket drum is broken to pieces and new parts long out of stock. OM sprocket is completely different and does not fit.
