NOTE ON ALL LENS REPAIRS: Shiney patches on your diaphragm blades? Diaphragm opens in slow motion? Blades don't move AT ALL? Your lens may require a full rebuild due to oil migrating to the diaphragm area. These days it's a common problem in lenses that are 30+ years old. This takes a lot more time as lens and all diaphragm parts must be completely removed, everything degreased and rebuilt. This service may be additional 50-100% of above prices (IF it is to be done correctly). .
(5) frosted rear elements cannot be fixed. This indicates defective lens surface, new parts not available.
No parts available for any Pen F lenses.
(6) many/most 300mm f4.5 400mm f6.3 Zuiko lenses I see have oily diaphragm blades. Disassembly reveals oil separated out of focus grease (which is the case for all lenses with this condition), but with the 300/400, oil is EVERYWHERE inside ALL the lens tubes. Price for this overhaul is $250 - $300 total and IMO makes the lens BEYOND REPAIR. It is easily a 5 hour job (IF it's to be done correctly. There is no "fast" way).

(7) Have any real beater Pen lenses, or lenses you found at a junk sale? As in: you're strolling through a photographic show at your local VFW Hall on a Saturday afternoon and see a sign "anything in this box $1". There's a reason for it being there, it's most likely JUNK. Any such Pen lens with major tampering, missing parts, impact, fungus damage, or separated elements are probably BEYOND REPAIR. You can save the shipping and bench fee by simply not sending them There are NO parts availabe for Pen lenses, so overhauling one of these junk show dogs is near impossible. If focus turns freely, and the glass is not loaded with fungus/spider webs, it can probably be fixed.
(8) front end damage may make lens beyond repair. No major focus parts available. 370 - 1mm ball bearings in the front mechanism must be respected. ;-)
