First time I've seen melted flash sync safety switch in OM-1 . This switch closes as the mirror goes up, then as first curtain clears the film plane, main contact closes (they may also be fried). Without a safety switch, flash would fire as it was slipped into and out of hot shoe, and would fire as the shutter was wound. This happened when the child of the camera owner used a sync cord with AC looking connection at one end and plugged it into a wall outlet.
