Sending a Repair
You never need advance permission to send a repair to Camtech. Box it, insure it, ship it. ALWAYS INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL
ADDRESS IN YOUR COVER LETTER for fastest response. You will receive a pdf of your estimate.
IT is best not to send your camera
in the original Olympus box or common shoe box. Wrap your camera in a plastic bag and pack it carefully. Use a sturdy
corrugated cardboard box. The Post Office can supply the proper box if you don't have one. Pack in styrofoam peanuts, bubble wrap
or crumpled newspaper on all sides. When you close the box, tape it shut and shake it, the camera should not be loose or thumping
around inside. Send your Zuiko lenses along if you like. There will be a cleaning and / or repair charge for each lens when
it is determined that they need work. Please do not send winder or flash batteries.
INSURE THE PACKAGE! Definitely in your
best interest. You will have trouble collecting on a package that is damaged in shipment if it was not packed pproperly. Such
damage (as when shipped in shoe box or original Olympus box) may increase the repair price. Insure your package for replacement
value. It's up to you to insure for the correct amount. If you over insure, you will have to prove the value if filing a claim.
Please do not send camera cases, bags, winder or flash AA batteries. Send body caps, hot shoes, md caps, straps etc.
You'll get them all back. Use Priority Mail, UPS, Fed Ex, whatever's most convenient for you. Please include a cover letter which
includes your return address, email address and (if you've decided to include it) your cc info (see box below). I am the
ONLY one who'll see it, it is perfectly safe. After I receive your camera, it will be inspected and an estimate will be
emailed or snail-mailed to you. If you've sent the repair "pre-approved" we will mail or email an acknowledgement to you.
WHAT NOT TO SEND: Please do not send equipment made by other manufacturers (ie. Vivitar flash, Tamron, Sigma, Tokina lenses) as we
do not repair them. We work ONLY on items made by Olympus (name ring on lenses say "Zuiko").
We accept payment by Paypal, Mastercard
/ Visa, Check, Money order. Submit paypal payments to :
omtech1@verizon.net. No American Express, No Discover, No
COD.
ACTUAL REPAIR PRICE is based on inspection. US postal money order, Mastercard and Visa and Paypal are
the same as cash. Check clearing times are controlled by the processing bank and can take up to 10 business days. You may include
a check with your prepaid repair. (Labor + shipping). If the total is wrong, you will receive a re-estimate in the mail.
TO SAVE TIME -
PRE-APPROVE YOUR REPAIR : You may "pre-approve" your repair up to a preset amount. Within your cover letter, include Mastercard
or Visa credit card numbers, see bottom of page for credit card requirements. You will be notified if anything unusual is found during
the estimate.
You can also pay with paypal after you receive your estimate. In this case, go to
www.paypal.com and
submit payment to
omtech1@verizon.net. it is best not to pay by paypal in advance (please wait for actual total).
All payments must be made in US dolars.
Always include a STREET or PO BOX ADDRESS for return shipment. Package will return ship
by insured USPS Priority Mail.
RETURN SHIPPING: Priority Mail for 1 body to the 50 states with $200
insurance, MINIMUM $11.49, sometimes more. Actual shipping and handling determined by weight, zip code and insurance
amount during the estimating process and just before charges are put through. Priority Mail coast to coast is usually 2-3
Day delivery. Overnight available at additional cost. NYS residents: sales tax extra (applied to labor, parts, shipping and
handling). If shipping to Camtech using the Post Office's "Click and Ship" you may find that insurance is limited
to $500. There are almost NO insurance limits, however, if you pay postage in-person at the Post Office. Repair
prices paid cannot be insured (not my idea, the Post Office simply won't reimburse those).
Want to PDF a prepaid
Post Office shipping label to CPS? That's fine. There will be a $10 Handling charge (to supply box, packing material, tape,
labor AND hand carry to the Post Office).
If you are supplying Credit card info with your repair, here's what is required.
(Mastercard, Visa only, No Amex, Discover)
Or go to www.paypal.com and submit payment to: omtech1@verizon.net
The quickest route is to supply ALL credit card information in a letter WITH your incoming repair.
1: INCLUDE 16 digit Credit Card number (Mastercard & Visa) .
( If you don't supply CC info with your repair, your estimate will be emailed to you. Then you either supply credit card info or pay through paypal).
( If you don't supply an email address ((I will never share it with any other party)), a blue card will be mailed to you to fill out, sign and mail back. You can also phone your credit card information in after receiving your estimate or you can pay at www.paypal.com. You do not have to have a paypal account to send a payment through it. If you decide to not use paypal and instead pay by credit card, we do not recommended sending all cc information in one email to Camtech. Split up over 3-4 separate emails. Still, phoning is best).
2: INCLUDE Expiration date (Card valid thru MM/YY). Required.
3: INCLUDE The 3 Digit CCV security Code! Every MC / Visa Card has it. This number is found on the back of your card, inside the signature box, over at the right hand end. Required.
4: INCLUDE The 5 digit ZIP CODE your credit card bill goes to every month (applies to USA orders only). Required
Thank you for choosing CPS for your Olympus Repair needs! 631-424-2121
(1-2 Day or 5-8 day turnaround! ((time in transit additional))
International orders for parts or accessories: Please

shipping, and email total back to you. If inquiring about a potential repair : send camera equipment, I will email you
an estimate, then you go to
www.paypal.com and submit payment to :
omtech1@verizon.net.
